A High Vibrational Diet Reduces Acne and Anxiety

Reducing your acne and anxiety is a piece of cake when you’re eating a high vibrational diet! It’s true—what you put in your body has a major effect on your complexion.

It’s no wonder greasy pizza and sugar-heavy snacks wreak havoc on skin and cause breakouts: Where’s the health component in those types of foods? Additionally, eating foods heavy in toxins is a key offender in harming your skin.

Do you want clear skin?

We talk so much about all of things NOT to eat that today, we wanted to focus on all of the goodness we can consume that will not only help us achieve a glowing complexion but also will raise our energetic vibration, by elevating our mood.

Eat High Vibrational Fruits & Vegetables To Reduce Anxiety and Acne

Are you overthinking it? Don’t overwhelm yourself, just do it!

Aim for 2-3 servings of fruit per day, and 5 servings of veggies per day. Or, if you don’t want to count servings, make half of all of your meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) fruits and vegetables. Eating root vegetables in the winter is a wonderful way to ground yourself intentionally. Options like beets, sweet potatoes and apples all have an earthy calming effect on our nervous system when we eat them.

Another way to include more high vibrational produce into your diet is by making (or seeking out) plant-based, healthy juices or smoothies, vegetable-based soups and stews, and salads. These foods can help you sneak in the goodness of produce, without overthinking it.

Stick to whole foods (fruits, veggies and meats).  Use nuts, seeds and legumes to round out your menus.  Quinoa as a filler for stuffed peppers, chia seeds to make delicious puddings and jams. Citrus fruits like oranges are always a crowd pleaser for anytime of the day.

Protein in Your Diet Reduces Anxiety

In our busy, package-food-driven American lifestyle, it is very easy to rely on eating high-carb, processed foods (5-minute mac and cheese, anyone?).

Yes, we can merely survive on such foods, but it certainly is not ideal to be eating these foods every day. Besides missing out on the anti-aging goodness from colorful produce, by eating a diet of processed foods, we also miss out on much-needed protein which is crucial to maintaining lean body mass (aka, muscle) and, providing our dermis with the essential building blocks to support collagen regeneration (aka the protein that helps us maintain our beauty, firm skin, and youthful appearance).

And, since the body’s ability to regenerate collagen in our skin cells and throughout our body declines as we age, this can be a double-whammy to your skin’s fullness and overall integrity. No bueno.

Do yourself a solid and make sure you’re eating enough throughout the day. When we get the correct amount of nutrients for our bodies, our anxiety and acne breakouts are substantially lessened.

What to Eat In a Day

Are you wondering what to eat to achieve a radiant, clear complexion? My first tip: Include a source of protein at each meal or snack. Eating a high vibrational diet to reduce your acne and anxiety doesn’t have to be hard. It can be as simple as throwing odds and ends of your favorite things into your daily meals.

Here’s an example of what to eat to clear acne and improve your skin health:

Breakfast: A smoothie, made with ingredients like 1 cup of non-dairy milk (such as almond milk or oat milk), 1 cup of berries, ice, and 1 to 2 scoops of vegetarian-based protein powder. We have an awesome smoothie bowl recipe too!

Mid-morning snack: A medium banana with 2 tablespoons almond butter

Lunch: A large mixed salad (with greens like kale and spinach) topped with 3 to 4oz. of grilled chicken or salmon, and olive oil

Mid-afternoon snack: Carrots, cherry tomatoes, a healthy piece of turkey and green tea

Dinner: A bowl of homemade chili made with ground chicken or turkey, served with a colorful side salad with an olive oil or avocado oil-based dressing

Pro-Tip Secret to Biohacking Acne and Anxiety for Healthy Skin

Stay on the perimeter of the grocery market when you’re shopping for the whole food selections.  Choose organic when the food is not naturally protected with a rind. So those high vibrational citrus fruits, you don’t have to choose organic, but you should when picking lettuce, squash, radishes, etc.

Food found in a grocery store often travels many miles in a truck — which, also carries its own vibrational experience — and is therefore less fresh, or holds less of that Earth and Sun energy.

Perusing farmers markets is a great way to find those fresh local organic fruits and vegetables you’re looking for. Not to mention, it’s also an excellent way to get in those steps by reducing your anxiety & network or connect with your community.

The Bottom Line

Our skin is usually the first place where we experience the effects of aging because the changes in hormones, the toxins in our environment, and the quality of our diet all have a direct impact on our dermis. It’s no wonder we have acne and anxiety.

The great news is, we can reduce these effects by nourishing our skin from the inside out by following a clear skin diet. Beauty does come from the within, after all!

A clear skin diet doesn’t have to be restrictive or complicated. And – besides clearing your skin, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to experience other benefits like improved health, increased energy, and more beauty sleep.

Eat food you love and get the gorgeous skin you crave!
