Esthetician Skincare Secrets Revealed!

We get asked all of the time for our best skincare secrets.

And, every day we are bombarded with new information to add to our skincare routines; it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Should you go with a simple cleanser and moisturizer, or start implementing that 12-step routine you keep seeing everywhere? Should you go for that all-natural DIY masks or high-end creams?

Do you want clear skin?

With the added stress of acne prone skin – you worry about things like, which products are going to make me break out? We ask ourselves these questions daily as we scroll through Instagram and Pinterest, taking in all sorts of tips and tricks from professionals (& not-so- professionals), which leads us to the biggest question of all:

How do I choose a step-by-step process that’s right for me?

The best answer is to go see a professional skincare therapist. Estheticians know your skin far better than the internet ever will. We provide a truly personalized consultation as well as product recommendations for your specific skin type.

However, the runner-up best answer is to take a peek inside an actual esthetician’s skincare routine. Let’s dive in, shall we?

Rene’s Skincare Routine

My skin is dry and dehydrated. I am 50 years young, so I am concerned about fine lines and wrinkles. I do not have acne nor have I ever suffered from acne, but I use almost all of our very own Beach Clean Skincare products. My skincare secret is water, water, water. I don’t drink enough of it, but when I do, I find that my skin glows like a ghost on Halloween!

Morning

1. Go Gently Cleanser

2. Skin Dew Toner — I love to pour some directly into my hands and splash it on my face for a good dose of hydration. This stuff is amazing!

3. Deep C –One of our best selling serums, Deep C is lightening and brightening.

4. Collostrum Cream (by Epicuren Discovery)

5. I mix UV Shade with Ultra UV Shade for the perfect SPF consistency. I use Sol RX for spf on my neck and chest.

Once a week, I use Buffing Beads to cleanse my face in the morning. I like to use the beads to get a physical exfoliation. We don’t recommend buffing beads if you are experiencing cystic or inflamed acne.

Pro Tip: With any skin-care product, apply in order of consistency – from thinnest to thickest. For example: cleanser, toner, serum, and then moisturizer.

Evening

1. Go Gently Cleanser

2. Skin Dew Toner — hydrating, great for aging, dehydrated skin.

3. A Plus Serum (wait 15 minutes) — this is our bomb diggity Vitamin A plus mandelic and more. This is a must-have for aging skin.

4. Peptide Boost — Oh, how I love a good peptide, and this powerhouse serum is full of them. Another must-have for aging skin.

5. Collostrum Cream by Epicuren

Sammy’s Skincare Secrets and Routine

Sammy has suffered with cystic acne since she was a teen. It wasn’t until she started working at Beach Beauty Bar & Acne Clinic that she finally got crystal clear. Her skin is generally more on the oily side. Sammy’s go-to skincare secret is icing her face. It’s easy, free and is so beneficial in healing cystic acne.

Morning

1. Go Gently Cleanser

2. Ice my face

3. Skin Dew Toner

4. Clarify 10 — Clarify 10 is an exfoliating serum designed to shed dead skin cells and keep the skin clear.

5. Deep C

6. Moisture Clear

7. UV Shade SPF — UV Shade is by far our best selling SPF. It’s tinted and has a matte finish. It’s especially great for people who are more on the oily side.

Evening

1. Go Gently Cleanser

2. Ice my face

3. Skin Dew Toner – hydrating for any skin type

4. A Plus Serum (wait 15 minutes)

4. Peptide Boost — It’s never too soon to start using anti-aging products.

5. Wipe Out 5

My favorite products are the A Plus Serum for preventative anti-aging and pigmentation. I use Deep C to help brighten my skin and protect it against sun damage. I also love peptide boost to plump my skin and using it as an eye mask to help soften fine lines is a great way to combat crow’s feet!

Should you be doing this, too?

Maybe. But maybe not. The most important thing to remember when choosing a routine is that everyone’s skin is different. Everyone has different sensitivities, problem areas and goals. What works for one person might not work for the next person. Insight into an esthetician’s daily practice should merely be a jumping off point. Think of this as a guideline to help point you in the right direction.

So there you have it!

We have so many skincare secrets up our sleeve, and each of them are geared toward different concerns. It really is why you must schedule a personal one-on-one consultation.

If you have any products you’re curious about or general skincare questions – we are always available for a consultation. You deserve to love the skin you live in! Book your next appointment for help with getting your own skincare routine started.

Cheers to clear!

Rene
